I am still planing on doing my last walk for cancer research. On Nov 5th, 2015, i will be having a complete shoulder replacement done. Be spending the winter months recovering.

Up date on walk for 2015.
I am in the idea phase to finish my walk I started last year,2013. Plan on finishing the walk in the spring of 2015. Future updates will be coming.
I am planning to do another walk in 2015. I want to do a walk that I tried in 2008. Since that time, I have done it on different days. I want to walk from Clarksburg to Parkersburg, WV on the North Bend Rail Trail. It is a 72 mile long trail with tunnels. I would walk some of it on Route 50. It depends on what my heart doctor says in December. I will be only be walking about 12 miles a day.

Walk for Your Health
I started my walk as planned on April 14th, 2013 Gillum B&B in Shinnston, WV.
I walked about seven miles to Worthington Park. I stayed there overnight or part of a night. During the night, I got up to go to the bathroom. My right leg gave out and I fell on my hipbone. I broke the femur bone where it joins the hip bone.
I had surgery and I am now in rehab for follow up. After this I will be limited to what I can for awhile.

On April 14th. 2013, I will begin another walk for Cancer Research. I will be walking from Shinnston, WV to Morgantown, WV. I will be walking on the rail trail. It will take me about 4 days to walk to Morgantown.
As the walk gets closer, i will be updating you about it.
This past week end, we had a severe storm come through, doing damage and power outages. Friday night a storm with wind of 70mph, came through WV at around 7:00p.m. Knocking out power to over 279,000 customers. There are more storms predicted all week long. The heat index and humidity are very high.

On June 19th, 2012, i finished my wal for cancer research. In the near future i will be uploading photoes, and writing about tne walk. I am in the plannijg stage doing another walk in June 2013. During this walk, i got to talk to a lot people who were or are cancer survivors or are taking care of someone who is fighting cancer.

I talked to the pastor of Smithburg United Methodist Church and told him ehat i am doing and he said that ii could either camp out or possible sleep inside, he will let me know. Also, Emannuel United Methodist Church i could sleep in their basement.
My plan is as follows.
June 19th, 2012 > Smithburg
June 20th, 2012> EUMC, West Union
June 21st, 2012> Salem UMC
June 22nd, 2012> Sycamore Road
June 23rd. 2012> Town House Motor Lodge
I plan on exploring the Rail Trail and also the town of Smithburg.In the near future, i would like to give a talk at Smithburg UMC, and also EUMC of West Union.
In planing for my walk, i am finding that churches so far have been really nice and helpful. They do not really have to take a stranger in and offer them a place to stay over night. I highly apreciate them for doing that. In the future, i am planing on contacting churches and when i do my walk in 2015.
